Top 2 scorers in the League go at it tonight; Can the Dream win today?

With the MBL in full swing, the matchups now start to get interesting as you can see who's who, which teams are the cream of the crop, and what players could be the best of the best. 

MVP candidates, top scorers battle it out

 Today will showcase the two top scorers in the MBL as Northern Indiana Monarchs (1-1) will take on Indiana Fury (1-1). 
     Northern Indiana has the 2nd leading scorer in the League with Julian Thompson. The 6'6  powerful forward, Thompson has electrified the MBL with his scoring (37.5) and rebounding (26rpg) prowess and has sent a statement to the League in the 1st 2 games. 
  
   The Fury has the the leading scorer in the MBL in  Zach Payton, as the dynamic wing who is averaging 39 ppg, 16 boards and 5 assists a game. 
 
Although it's still early in the season, but these two guys have clearly shown they will be in the MVP race, barring any setbacks. 
  Both teams are 1-1, & the battle for Indy is up for grabs today. 
   The game is at 6pm today @ the Christian Community Center in Harlan, Indiana. 
 

Can the Dream get their first win?

In other action in the MBL, the Hamilton Heroes take on Indiana Dream 6pm at Southside middle school. 
  
    Hamilton is lead by Dwight Johnson from Dayton, Oh with 20.5 pts and 7.5 ast. Johnson leads the league in assists.  Hamilton also has a good player in Bibbs, who is ready for a breakout game. 

  The Dream who look to get in the W column, which would be their first this season.

   Dream are led by Steve Smith who is averaging a whopping 36 pts 16 rebs, &  2 blks a game.

Air Strikers win 2nd straight

The Dayton Air Strikers garnered another win in the Midwest Basketball League on Saturday night as they ran past the Northern Indiana Monarchs 113-89.

 The Air Strikers jumped out early to a double digit lead in the 1st quarter, and never really looked back.
 The Monarchs got back into the game briefly in the 2nd quarter, cutting it to 10, but could never really get it back into single digits the rest of the way.
 The Air Strikers were led by sharpshooter Scott Stuckey, who dropped 25 and 5 boards with a few 3-balls. Dwayne Martin (22) and Scottie Jones (17) help spearhead the attack, led by Coach Chris McGuire.











  Northern Indiana was led by Thompson who racked up 25 points and 18 boards,-  while Savage (21) and Dowell (17) were the top scorers for the Monarchs, who fall to 0-2

The Air Strikers looked like they were a step ahead all night, and could be headed for a good season in the Midwest Basketball League.
